ATTENTION ALL APPLICANTS

The priority deadline for the 2024-25 Academic Year Housing Applications has now been passed. All students who complete the application from this point on will be placed on a waitlist based on completion date. Please note that we currently have a large waitlist.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN:

Please make sure your email account has housing@csulb.edu as a safe sender, so that your status email is not lost, or any further communication by housing can be received.

TO APPLY FOR CAMPUS HOUSING

  1. Click on Housing Applicaton in the black banner at the top of the page.
  2. Select Term.
  3. Complete all pages of application.
  4. Pay the non-refundable license service fee of $275.
  5. Submit Application.

2024-2025 Academic Year Housing

  • A non-refundable $275 license service fee is required to complete the application. The license service fee will go towards the total cost of your housing for the academic year.

PHASE ONE: Apply for Housing

Application Dates

  • CONTINUING APPLICANTS: Wednesday, March 20th at 10 AM (PDT)

    • Applications Closes: Wednesday, March 27th at 5 PM (PDT)
    • A $275 non-refundable service fee payment is required to complete the application.
    • Email Notification of Housing status: Tentatively to be sent Friday, March 29th

  • Continuing Housing Confirmation Process:

    • All completed applications will be randomized.
    • The first 450 students in random generated list will be granted a space in housing.
    • All remaining students will be placed on a Paid Returner waitlist based upon their order in the randomized system.
    • Paid Continuing waitlist confirmations are based on the number of Continuing cancellations.

  • NEW APPLICANTS: Wednesday, April 3rd at 10 AM (PDT)

    • Priority Deadline: Wednesday, May 15th at 5 PM (PDT)
    • Email Notification of Housing status: Tentatively to be sent out week of May 20th
      • Only completed applications with payment will receive notification.
      • Completed applications recieved after priority deadline will be automatically placed on paid waitlist.

PHASE TWO: The Next Steps

  • Roommate Selection: Thursday, May 30th 10AM- Friday, June 21st 5PM
    Students who are confirmed for housing at this time will be able to search and select roommates. IMPORTANT: Students who find roommates options outside of the housing portal, will not have them honored.

PHASE THREE: Preparing for Move In

  • Move In Day: Thursday, August22nd - Friday, August 23rd, for All Residents (Check in Appointments schedule to be determined)
  • Classes Begin: Monday, August 26th, 2024
